Tearing down the giants

Updated: Feb 12, 2019

Today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant. Jeremiah 1:10

Jesus said that to plunder the strong man, we must first bind him. As a citizen of the Kingdom, we have rights. The word of God gives many references about dominion and authority and how we, as believers, have been restored to exercise these through Jesus.

During the summer of 2018, the Lord showed me a vision during my prayer time. I saw a sandal with long straps. I saw myself strapping these long straps around my leg and it went all the way up to my knee. To give a clear picture, they looked like roman sandals, they were flat, open toe with long straps. When I was almost done strapping the sandals, the Lord said, “I have prepared you to bring down the giants.” At once the vision disappear. I sat there meditating on what the Lord was revealing and I understood that there was a strong man that needed to be bound up and brought down at the feet of Jesus. This vision was right before going on a mission’s trip to a country in Asia.

The bible tells us we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, principalities of darkness in the heavenly realms (emphasis added). Neither are our weapons to fight against these physical but spiritual. So, how do we exercise our dominion and authority on earth to bind the strong man, the giants that may come against us? Whether in our family, ministry, finances, city, regions, government or country? We do it with the word of God and prayer. Taking the words that He has spoken and releasing them in the atmosphere.

We have been prepared by the blood of Jesus for such a time a this to bind the giant, the strong man and bring it down at the feet of Jesus. To plunder his possessions and proclaim freedom to those who are captives.

Take time to read His word and use the Words he has spoken during your prayer time. Being convinced that His word is true, active and sharper than a double edge sword and we will witness the tearing down of giants.
